As an independent practitioner I provide innovative mindfulness-based counseling, psychotherapy and personal growth services in the
metro area. I offer individual, couples, and group therapy services. I teach mindfulness classes and retreats in the community. I also provide clinical supervision and consultation to other professionals.
In a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, I offer a highly personalized approach tailored to your individual needs. The integrative mind/body therapy that I utilize is based on honesty, respect, and compassion. I want to help you to discover freedom from self-limiting patterns that can lead to stress, conflict, and/or withdrawal from life. My approach supports you in being less identified with habitual ways of thinking and feeling that can keep you stuck in patterns that no longer work for you. You can learn to be less reactive and more compassionate with yourself and others.
I have been successful in helping with grief, trauma, stress, anxiety, addictions, life transitions, obsessions/compulsions, attention and impulse control, relationship distress, parenting, and spiritual growth. I also provide coaching to help you reach your highest potential.
I can help you by being well versed and experienced in using a variety of ways to do therapy. Some of the therapeutic approaches I use include: acceptance and commitment therapy, scientifically-based marriage therapy (Gottman), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), narrative therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, family systems therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based body centered therapy, and mindfulness meditation. I have taught mindfulness meditation for over fifteen years and have completed training with Jon Kabat-Zinn.
In practice since 1990, I am a seasoned and interactive therapist committed to helping you clarify and reach your goals.
