My integrative mind/body approach is based on honesty, respect, and compassion. I am interested in learning about your strengths, goals, feelings and needs. I see strengths as the gateway to development and positive change.
I work with: stress, anxiety, depression, anger management, addictions, obsessions/compulsions, attention and impulse control, relationship distress, parenting, life transitions, grief, and spiritual growth. Some of the approaches I use include: acceptance and commitment therapy, narrative therapy, scientifically based relationship therapy (Gottman), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive-behavioral therapy, family systems therapy, mindfulness-based cagnitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based body centered therapy, and mindfulness meditation. I have taught mindfulness meditation for over fifteen years and have completed training with John Kabat-Zinn.
In addition to providing therapy I have extensive experience providing clinical supervision and consultation to therapists. I meet the requirements for supervising LCSW and LPC candidates
In practice since 1984, I am a seasoned and interactive therapist comiited to helping you clearify and reach your goals.
